PUBLICATIONS
I have loved writing ever since I wrote in my diary as a kid. I started publishing my writing from my personal journey of mental health and motherhood. As a doctoral graduate, I focused on health advocacy for marginalized populations. I enjoy writing in public, non-academic platforms to spread poignant information to the community. I want my writing to always spark a conversation. The purpose of my children's books is to address difficult topics and start meaningful discussions between caregivers and children. The inspiration came from conversations with clients and experiences with my own kids, to help open the lines of communication. I can't wait to write more!
My research is inspired by my healing from religious trauma. I have found a deep respect for different belief systems, and yet, I believe that calling out fundamentalist and extremist rhetoric is important. I now focus on the impact of the rise of conservative infrastructure and Christian nationalism is impacting politics today. Through my research, I hope to speak truth to power and inform those who don't know about the impact of this narrative on American politics. Check it out!

I Will Give You Better
Generational trauma has a deep impact on a person. As parents, each person must decide what they do differently for their children. The first book of the Healing Us series, I Will Give You Better discusses how a parent has endured generational trauma and healed for the sake of their children. This book is a narrative of how a parent will give their child a better experience and stop the cycle of familial trauma.

Understanding Who God Is To Me
The concept of God can be difficult to grasp. Many are raised to have a specific view of God and are told not to ask questions. This book is an avenue to discuss God inclusively and compassionately, while empowering children toward spiritual autonomy.

Healing Me
Journaling can be a therapeutic expression of our emotions, especially when emotions are difficult to express aloud. In this journal, the partner to the children's book I Will Give You Better, you will find prompts to explore your upbringing and parenting. The first section of the journal contains prompts that explore how you were parented and reflect in categories of safety, attachment, discipline, and feedback. The second section of the journal will focus on how you want to parent and better your parenting for your child. Upon completion, you will gain a better understanding of yourself. healing your past, and changing actions for the future.
