ABOUT ME
WHO AM I?
I'm Tiffany and I'm so glad you've taken the time to get to know me, my approach, and what I offer. I'm a born and raised Texan, and moved to the DC Metro in 2023. I have worked as a teacher, school counselor, therapist, and clinical director in many settings throughout the lifespan. In all those roles I've directly worked with clients to heal trauma and find freedom within that healing process.
In addition to therapy, I'm a professor and teach graduate courses in Trauma and Multicultural Counseling. I've recently started working on research pertaining to the intersection of religion and politics. And I write children's books! Whew! It's a lot, but I love what I do!
When I'm not doing all that, I'm hanging with my family, binge watching cult documentaries, or eating pasta. It's an odd combo, but it sums me up pretty well.

ABOUT MY WORK
My practice as a somatic therapist, researcher, and writer is rooted in liberation, decolonization, and anti-racism. I believe my purpose is to provide access for people and places where access to various services are scarce. Some issue areas in which I focus include:

Reproductive mental health in Texas where access to care is limited and weaponized

Raising awareness of toxic religious extremism in its relation to US elections and foreign policy

Community education on reproductive justice and mental health

Community education on decolonized mental health crisis care

Teaching community members about the intersection of cultural humility and trauma-informed practices
